I wasn't too fussed by it all but now after all the hype and reading a few interviews, i'm deffinitely going to go see it.

Yes it's good. Very good on fact.

Leave your brain at the door and enjoy, it is so obviously not a film that does not take it's self seriously and I thought it was bloody funny. Murdoch is by far the funniest character on the movie but all of the team are good.

Some of the stunts are top notch. Especially the ones that weren't so ridiculous they had to be done with CGI...;)

Reviews are mixed ( http://www.metacritic.com/film/titles/ateam ) but a good friend of mine, who I trust totally in film quality matters, reckons that it is very good.

I enjoyed it, if you liked the original show then it's pretty true to it, it's not a thinker but that's what makes it good, just sit back and wait for the next explosion.

The advert for Orange is superb. The bit with the falling tank parachute that the director keeps going on about as the best bit in the film worries me.

The first 2 times maybe, but when they put it on in front of every film it gets a bit tedious. Although I think the advert will be better than the film wink

I'd been looking forward to the prospect at this, despite the fact I loathe remakes/rehashes of classic films and tv shows.

Right up until I saw the point on the trailer that they were firing the gun of a tank at 'planes, whilst plummeting to earth...

Sorry, no.

Thats the point though, it's the A-Team not the Bourne Ultimatum. It's just supposed to be fun and entertaining. I dare say the TV show wasn't a hard hitting documentary detailing how ex nam vets deal with returning home and gaining full time employment.

It really is a good film, as said previous just forget about the history and dont expect anything and you'll love it. I think your lad will enjoy it more than you though.

I enjoyed, but the tank scene should have been cut or trimmed as it's a little too ott, you have to keep things slightly plausible.

If you actually watch the film you'll find they are not firing the main gun at the drones, they are using it for something entirely different, which i wont spoil.

I wasnt expecting much but thought it was great, but dont take it too seriously its an entertaining film. Some of the stunts in it a great biggrin

In the original a-team they use plastic bin liners and hairdryers to lift themselves over a wall..

I'd say the film was true to the series and if you thought it was ridiculous then you've forgotten what the original tv show was like.
