Fake car locking noises!
Discussion
It seems it is mainly BBC programmes that use it even on cars that don't have a 'blip' when they lock.
Different cars same sound. Today's equivalent of the Wilhelm Scream

Why do all cas being locked on tv have to be accompanied by the worst plip plip noise imaginable when being locked? It's just quite annoying!!
I've noticed this too. In TV land, even brand new cars seem to be fitted with a central locking and alarm system from 1988!Dunclane said:

Why the sound anyway, cant the muppets see the locking button retract in the doors, and the lights flash. My hired Ford Explorer recently locked fine with one press on the key fob, a 2nd press resulted in the Plip Plip, what for I have absolutely no idea.

These same warehouses also have the ability to slow electricty so that when you throw the switch, the lights come on row by row and not all at the same time with that heavy crunch sound.Gassing Station | TV, Film, Streaming & Radio | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
