It's on watch at the moment ... haven't seen it for ages and am quite enjoying it. I hadn't realised just how many stars were in it ... Bill Murray and James Belushi as cameos, as well as Steve Martin and Rick moranis, and Levi Stubbs as Audrey 2.

I loved this film about 20 years ago, the soundtrack was a regular car tape. I think I'll have to find the MP3s and relive some of my youth!

My musicsal society often has this show on its proposed list of shows "to do". However, it never gets selected as it has a relatively small cast and possibly a poor box-office.

As a result, we've never performed it but it is a show I'd love to do.

Love this film and some of the songs have made their way onto my ipod. Seen a live musical version at a local drama school, the voice for Audrey II was very good.

if its any help, I didn't know it was done as stage play until recently, of love to go and see it live now.

Most musical films originated as stage musicals first. However, sometimes it works the other way around - the film is made first and then it gets adapted for the stage.

Good examples of the latter are -

Seven Brides for Seven Brothers
Calamity Jane
Chitty Chitty Bang Bang
Mary Poppins
Singin' in the Rain
The Full Monty

Speaking of the latter - it jus so happens that this will be our next production
