I had no idea a sequel to the new WotW had been made. And i'm not suprised I hadn't heard of it. It was sporking awful. The Tom Cruise one had such a good format a sequel to it's standard would have been fantastic.

Shame as it could have been amazing, but it was truley awful...

I would dearly love to see a proper rendition of the original book - set in Vicrorian Southern England.

That would be great. We've got an orignal copy of the book, from when it was released first.

I agree with the OP. It has to be one of the worst made sci-fi films I have seen in a while. And trust me that is saying something smile

You weren't watching "Zone Horror" were you? If so then there's your problem wink

I caught a few moments of WOTW2 a few months back, wow! Never has my brain revolted so quickly at being forced to witness bilge before - and I like bilge believe me! Clearly not to be compared with the epic 'Mega Shark vs Giant Octopus', but then what can these days?!!

Cheers,
Rob

Me too! Even better if they did some location shooting on Horsell Common as it is just down the road from me. In fact the terrace of houses we live in is even mentioned in the book smile

There is one. Unfortunately it is awful!

There is a very good spoof of it though!

I'm another who loves the original book, the musical, and would love to see a GOOD film based on those.

That's a real pity. It shows that making movies isn't as easy as many think. Even witha good plot and an interesting story it still all go horibly wrong.

If they made this into a film, it would be good.

If they stick to the story, and not mutilate it like the first volume.

Thanks for the link, would love to see this live. My dad used to play this when I was a kid, used to scare the st out of me! Properly epic cool

The old WOTW film (flying macines) was superior imo to the later Tom Cruise version which suffered from wooden dialogue and unlikable characters.

I was unaware WOTW 2 even existed!

If it was on the 'Syfy' channel (won't even mention their renaming) it's part of their Mockbusters showings... crap remakes or sequels of other Scifi films... all so bad they are good.. Transmorphers.. the day the earth stopped etc. etc. Actually I'll restate that.. all so bad.. they are terrible....

Went to see this with my dad, my x's dad, and a few mates. Fecking superb. Huge cheers from the audience, awesome visuals, some great video too. I grew up with the LP version, then on tape, then DVD and the ill-fated '90s remixes.

There is another showing of the live show this year http://www.thewaroftheworlds.com/live-events/2010-...

My were 'lucky' enough to 'appear' in audience on the Live DVD too..

Oh, and I've also watched WoTW 2, well, the first 8 minutes anyway.
