Inspired by Parrot of Doom's posting in the E34 M5 vs W125 500e thread pointing at this video here what would you say was the best car chase in a film?

Bullitt springs to mind obviously. Then there are lots of cheesy offerings from the Bond films. Deathproof has some fun driving in it too.

The Bourne films did a great job. I remember being in the cinema and after the Moscow chase (2nd film) you could hear a collective exhale as the whole place had been holding it's breath.

Never understand Bullitt - driving past the same car 15 times down a hill doesn't do it for me. Nice sound perhaps but even that was faked!

Ronin was good.

And Vantage Point.

Those two astras doing battle was refreshingly different. IMHO

Blues Brothers.

The bourne Mini chase was pretty intense, and the one in Moscow was mad.

The Highway chase in the 2nd Matrix wasn't too shabby either.

Goldeneye - for the Aston and Ferrari at the start then the famous tank chase.

Duel - the entire film is one tense, long chase.

True, but there's much better stuff out there - like Ronin.
