This is a bit scary

The title isn't down to ITV1's bad grammar; it's the contents of just one of the blizzard of threatening text messages sent by stalker Maria Marchese to psychiatrist Jan Falkowski during a devastating campaign of harrassment. In this dramatisation of a uniquely disturbing real-life case, David Morrissey is Falkowski, a champion powerboat racer with an affluent lifestyle whose life and that of his fiancée, Debbie Pemberton (Tara FitzGerald), were slowly dismantled by one woman's grotesque obsession. Monica Dolan is riveting as Marchese, with a performance that's both terrifying and sad, and which never tips into Fatal Attraction caricature. In fact, it's universally well acted; Morrissey is superb as Falkowski, painting him not quite as a hapless victim, but as a flawed man who withdrew from Pemberton as Marchese's campaign became more extreme. FitzGerald will break your heart as a wholly innocent woman whose relationship (she and Falkowski were to marry) and very nearly her life were destroyed by the vicious attentions of an unseen stranger.

This girl he's sleeping with is stunning though!

Didn't she play Marian in the Robin Hood TV series ?

It started well, middled well but feel it ended abit poorly.
I guess it was a true story though so not the writers fault

Agreed - can't really blame anyone (other than Mad Maria, perhaps) for there not being the typical 'twist' at the very end..
Anyway, it wasn't too bad and I quite enjoyed it, but it was probably 30 minutes longer than it needed to be..
It said at the end that mad Maria would be eligible for parole in 2012. Presumably she would have to show remorse for her crimes to be considered?
Might be a bit difficult bearing in mind she's got a screw loose.
Oh, and as for the Maid Marian comment. Thanks for that, was trying to remember what I'd seen her in before.
