He's a massive thunderfanny. I'm going to sleep, I can't take any more of this farce.

That was the biggest load of bks I've seen for quite some time. Like a realy crap version of The Game. Tell me one person who wouldn't have volunteered to land the plane.

I loved it... but then again The Game is one of my fave all time films....

Cool fact about the time at the end though.

confused The others were all actors - so of course he was the only one to volunteer! He went from being a totally passive person at the beginning (with the smoke) to volunteering to land a plane! However, I found it a bit odd that he didn't question why there wasn't a copilot, and why a random passenger would be better than a steward, or even a kid who plays a lot of flight sims! I guess he was still under the influence of Derren in some way.

Really surprised at the comments here. I really like Derren Brown - he's a great showman and I don't believe any of his stuff is "faked". He's very clear about using "suggestion" and being able to read people for all of his tricks.

I can thoroughly recommend his live shows.

His girlfriend is fit.

I'm watching it on +1 and it seems like a rather large amount of bks so far.

Cracking program, although the bloke did appear to be an utter mouthbreather at times.

I was looking forward to this, but had to stop watching when he met Derren in his back garden in the middle of the night. If you found some strange bloke in your garden, waiting for you in the dark, you'd want to be holding a cricket bat at least. In a trance my ass! rolleyes

I've decided that his girlfriend was too hot to be with him and that they're all actors.

Also I can hypnotise people too. Well, when I say people I mean actors and when I say hypnotise I mean 'pay them money'..

Didn't watch the show but I'm reading his book at the moment. It's really good so far.

Why? Because it's convenient to believe they are. Because some people, if they don't understand something, refuse to acknowledge it's existence. Bit like the Flat Earth Society.

To put on a good show and, by proxy, make a lot of money.

Exactly what made me turn off. I do enjoy his stage shows though. Much more impressive.

Same here - what a load of 'set-up/ faked' bks this programme was!! Anyone who believes otherwise is an idiot.

I missed the beginning - why was that chap picked for this in the first place?

Was he just some complete loser who Derren wanted to turn into a "hero"?

It was complete bull.

Anyone with half a brain-cell would have asked "can't the First Officer land it?"

And when touching down why did he not shout the ATC guy "how do I slow this thing down!" The ATC guy was like "well done, you landed the plane."

Pity it would have careered of the runway.

any landing at Leeds Bradford airport is unpleasant...

Would they have spent all that money on flights / actors, a month of tv film crew etc it was all a sham?

yes he was a dullard but he did change...if he was acting he'd get an oscar

Yes, he was acting, and I have to disagree with you - most of the time his acting was pretty cr@p too!

I can't believe anyone would actually get taken in by this type of show!! Pure sham from start to finish.
