A very powerful film, made more so by knowing how it is going to end yet still hoping that the good guys will win.

Gets me every time.

The build up to the second plane hitting, the reactions of the guys in the New York tower.

It is masterful directing, in that, as another poster said above, even though you know the outcome it is hard not to will the passengers on.

Indeed. Although didn't grip me as much as the first time I watched it.
