Help needed naming an actress please?

Tough one this. I dont watch that much TV, but I like to remember faces etc. I dont think I've ever known her name.
Basically trying to find the name of an actress I saw over the weekend in London. Nothing important and she's not particularly well known, but now I've mentioned it to a friend she wants to know too. It's bugging me that I dont know what she's been in nevermind her name:
English
Blonde, I think natural.
45-ish.
Slim.
Attractive.
Well spoken (?).
I dont realy know what she's been in, but here's what I think/guess:
Not in a soap.
Has played a 'well spoken' and serious (rather than playful) character.
Sitcom perhaps.
BBC perhaps.
Supporting rather than main actress.
..I thought she could have been on Absolutely Fabulous but looking on the Wikipedia page and the actor/actress list I cant find her.
I wont get it from just a name, so if pics could be posted I'd appreciate it..
