Japanese GP gone from iPlayer???

Started a new thread because I didnt want to go into the GP thread in Motorsport and risk spoiling it.

Started watching the GP on iPlayer arouns 1pm today, got 5 laps in then had to go out.

Just gone to resume watching it and it's no longer on iplayer

Not there for me either. Must be a bug or something equally trivial, can't think of a viable reason for it not to be other than that (assuming it's already been repeated on BBC1 ?)

Yep, was repeated at around 1pm and highlights on bbc three at 8pm tonight.

Aarrgh, just wanna settle in with some dinner and watch!!

There was a technical issue with the transmission during the race. Basically the image started 'lagging out' on sky, then it came back but with only 'car noises' no commentary. Then they put the R5 comentary over it for a few mins, then suddenly flicked back to the BBC1 commentary stream and it was ok after that. I imagine it's not on iPlayer because they want to see if they can 'smooth over' that error which probably involves getting the original images and Brundle audio and slicing them in. This is more complex than just recording the transmission as it went out on BBC1 live and plonking it online.

That would be my guess why it's not there at the moment, they will probably put it back on later - obvisouly I have no idea when.

Either way gonna hedge and get it via something that ryhmes with porrent.

I watched it in iPlayer this morning without any problems. The sound glitch was retained in full.

No Forum either. But I guess that's because they don't expect many callers that early on a sunday morning. Like many I recorded it, which meant i had to endure Brundles monotony and Leggards incompetence. When Crofty and Davidson cut in for 3 mins it was suddenly worth watching again!

Leigh didn't do too bad actually either.
