There was a TV show I used to watch as a kid in the 1980's where the main character was computer generated. He was a real actor, I think it was Scott Bakula but I could be wrong. He looked real until he took his shirt off and it was special effects in a blue electric sort of glow.
The other main character was the computer geek who had a computer, he would them summon 'cursor' who would fly out of the computer and generate the other guy.
Everytime they needed transport they could generate a helicopter or car, these would be real but with what looked like blue neon tube lights over them - the car looked like Lamborghini Countach.
This has been bugging me for ages, somebody please remind me the name of this show.

I couldn't remember the name but I can remember the show.
The car used to take every corner as a highspeed 90 degree turn.
hehe

I remember the show very well, was out at the same time as Streethawk iirc.

I couldn't quite put my finger on the name though, but guess what? I put 'tv show cursor' into a well known search engine and guess what the first hit was?

Yup - automan and the car "didn't suffer inertia" as they were computer generated - but the young lad inside did smile
