Posted here as it's about TV and film.

My girlfriend wants a specific ringtone on her phone. No problem you'd think, but we are dealing with 'the mental' here.
Me: "What's it called?"
Her: "It's not a tune it's the ringtone of the phone in the programme."
Me: "Ok, which programme?"
Her: "I can't remember, but it might have been a spy-type one. Oh it might be a film."
Me: "Er..."
Her (now getting wound up): "Look, when their phone rings it goes, 'da-da-da, da-da-da, da-da-da'."
Me: "Riiight... doesn't really help me much."
Her: "It's FAMOUS!"

So, does anyone here know what TV programme, (or maybe film), that has a spy theme, (or might not), has a phone that goes, 'da-da-da, da-da-da, da-da-da' in it? If it helps she describes it as a "two-tone electronic whistle-type thing that pauses a bit before it starts again". rolleyes

She says no, the one she's after is from an older programme... or film. You wouldn't believe how huffy she's getting about this - bloody wimmin!

Hold on - she's now saying it might be from a handheld radio not a phone. Jesus, I give up!

This comes on when my wife rings; I hoarsely whisper 'Go to the server room'. She has no idea why.

I can't find a clip of it but could it be the Austin Powers ringtone?

I have Chev's ring tone from "Crank" - not that I think that's it or that it helps, I'm just saying! smile

That's what I though the instant I read the description! If I'm right does that mean I speak mental?

No there aren't but as soon as that clip started she said, "That's it, it's his car phone".
