Not sure if this is the right place but being a new member there is only a few places I can post.

Does anyone know how much next years tickets would be for the final, my mum would really like to go but I can't seem to find any info anywhere.

It would help if I could find out how much last years tickets were for the final.

Thats all very helpful, but the Eurovision is in Dusselfdorf in 2011, not Oslo. wink

I was going to start a thread on this myself, as after a few beers with a friend it seemed like a good way to spend a weekend away.

I did a quick look the other day and I am sure that tickets dont go on sale until February (although cant find the link I was looking at the other day now). Given they have only just chosen the host city, I think there might be plenty of time yet.

There are a couple of "official" Eurovision facebook pages, so I have joined one of those to see if it gives any indication of when and how you go about getting tickets.

Any German PH'ers who might be able to help with inside info?

ETA - Sorry just seen that the OP asked for the prices from last year paperbag

Thanks for that

Based on last years final price in NOK

That means the prices will be from £80 - £172

Probably add on wee bit more becuase they will and you're looking at a range of £100 - £200 a ticket.

Or the same price as a package holiday to spain, the sad thing is they will sell.

I read that the ENTIRE cities hotels got blocked booked before the host city was announced. Somebody obviously knew what was going on. I wonder what the new temporary owners of the rooms will charge? Think of number, double it add a handful of euros and you're getting close.

But it will still be cheaper than a normal weekend away in Oslo!

Maybe true but still more expensive than pre-eurovision Düsseldorf hotel room, personally I'd travel the few kilo to a nearby town and f*ck the money grabbing new owners of the rooms, b*stards. Lets face it, its not Dusseldorf that benefits from this large scale highway robbery its the wesellhotelrooms.com brigade of websites, threat of legal action prevents me naming names but think of a hotel booking website, correct.

The real interesting part is how did they know 4 weeks before anyone else, that Dusseldorf was the city that must haver cost a lot.

Anyway,

got this from wiki

Ticket sale / event concept
On 13 October 2010, Thomas Schreiber, coordinator at ARD said in an interview that tickets for the event are likely to go on sale "within the next four weeks", i.e. by Mid-November 2010, with the cheapest tickets being available for €19. He also outlined details about Düsseldorf's event concept: Esprit Arena will be split in two parts separated from each other. On one side of the stadium the stage will be installed while the other side will function as background dressing rooms for the artist delegations. An athletics arena next to the Esprit Arena will serve as the press center for the event. The Esprit Arena can offer comfortable seats relatively near to the stage what will create rather an indoor event arena atmosphere than a football-stadium ambience. There are plans to open also the dress rehearsals for the public.[15]

Google Maps say 252 miles from Calais to Dusseldorf.

With a designated driver you could stay in any one of a million Travelodge places within an hours drive...
