All time favorite TV show / series?

[Legend83]

I know this has probably been done to death, but I have just been posed the question at work...and am really struggling to nail it down.

If you have to name one (ONLY ONE!) what would it be?

Ok, mine (a bit left-field I know):

Garth Marenghi's Darkplace

[CooperD]

Fawlty Towers is my selection.

[goforbroke]

The Sopranos

[Mars]

There are so many:

Rescue Me
Deadwood
Life on Mars/Ashes to Ashes
Rome
BSG (to begin with... got a bit samey towards the end)
The Wire

Years and years ago I loved:

Starskey and Hutch
The Professionals
The Sweeney

It was all cop shows back then.

[anonymous-user]

Larry Sanders
Seinfeld

[Glen320]

sopranos for me as well

[Civpilot]

In keeping with the OP's idea to name just ONE I would go with Firefly.

Can watch any episode of that series anytime.

[Tow Vehicle Rqrd]

Footballers Wives.

The IT Crowd for me

[Famous Graham]

The West Wing just narrowly pips The Sopranos for me.

Frankly just about anything by HBO is in the running.

If I could only have the one box set it would be The Wire. That may change if Treme continues to be as good as it is though.
