Is Dave dead?

I can't pick up Dave on my freeview box any more (even post re-tune). Has it gone subscription or something?

I have just this second checked and Top Gear is on Dave right now. So I still have Dave.

Dave is good but always seems to have about 3 episodes of any programe on a day. Just alternate between them,

You can't get dave on freesat due to restrictions on what they can broadcast to europe, but you have freeview right.

As an aside my freesat box lists men and motors but its just a black screen?

Still works for me but the ridiculous level of adverts and repeats pisses me off.

Hell, ITV channels, E4 and even the BBC these days seem to have huge numbers of adverts....

That might happen to have been in my head when I wrote the title of the thread.

It is just possible I guess - the house being a new build with the TV already installed when we got there - that we're on Freesat rather than terrestrial Freeview! Has it been a recent changeover?

Sometimes I get to the m-i-law's and whilst she and wifey are in the lounge discussing whatever I'll sit in the kitchen diner and have an epic fail to get Dave on freeview.

A couple of retunes always sorts it, then I can watch something I've watched countless times before, or go do some of their gardening.

The garden gets looked after quite well when I'm there.

Not that helpful, sorry.
