Did anyone watch Film 2010 last night on the beeb? I switched over about 10 mins in and Claudia was apologising for something said at the start of the show, she then apologised again a little later....anyone catch what happened?

I saw on Twitter that apparently in a vox-pop bit, some northern bird said F**k.

Very off topic, but I don't really see the point in Film 2010 - where's the interest in watching someone else talk in great detail about a film that they've seen and you haven't? confused

It would make more sense to me if it were delayed somewhat, so that you could watch it from an informed position once you'd seen the film.

Can anyone explain why they watch it - I'm genuinely interested?

I just flicked over and caught a bit of it, but I must admit I haven't seen it in years before last night. It did seem to be filled with reviews about obscure French films...most of the time I would rather avoid any reviews of a film I've not seen, I would much rather make up my own mind and avoid any spoilers!

I think I'll go back to avoiding it smile

Uh? Could it be that the idea is they help you decide if you want to actually see the film in the first place? They review the film, not explain it's innermost secrets. No spoilers (on the whole)!

Watched the first 5mins, and immediately remembered Ross has moved on. Bizarrely it's now 'live' it's a film review show, clearly no point, but obviously it must have been pitched as an exciting edgy down with the kids way to do it, winkleman looked at a bit rough and in need of an early night and something done with her hair. Coming up a womans pic and an obscure french film... Jesus what a drag, BBC leftie politics agenda, so turned off. So heavens above some lefty right on luvvie said fk on tv... And she had to apologise. Of course if it was recorded... Doh!

Should have given it to kermode.

All I heard was "I couldn't give a fk about the fans" but by the time I looked up (was TV-dinnering at the time) they'd cut back to VT.
