Noticed that when watching the footy on sky sports that I keep getting this number appear above the sky sports logo in the exact same coloured font (754 777 755).

It comes off if I go through to "tv guide" and back out.

Strange...any ideas as to what it is?

funny i get that sometimes too!

i think when big matches are on they fire the signals to see who is using dodgy boxes or something.

Thats a complete guess though!

Sky can send out a signal to consumer screens (unique code by subscriber) then they send out their investigators to take pictures of the screens in pubs - so they can prove when a pub doesn't have a business subscription (with the beer glass in the bottom right corner) and also prove who has provided the card for the sports events.
