No prizes for predicting a big fat ugly anti-BBC campaign from the usual suspects over this weeks drama.

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-arts-11805...

No doubt there'll be plenty disgusted by proxy, I imagine many of whom won't have taken the opportunity to watch the programme.

Anyway, McGovern really does know how to write and direct good drama. I enjoyed the The Street series (although these sorts of dramas are dangerously close to being Left wing for PH) and the first episode of this years effort (Accused) was intersting, too.

Let the baying begin.

Good grief, I'm far more convinced by Mackenzie Crook's performance than I thought I would be, this is looking good (I haven't seen the previous weeks)

I suspect blokes on the front line just don't have time/inclination for the kind of crap being depicted.
30 years ago in a drizzly barracks in Aldershot, maybe.

Amazing to think that he left the army to become a pen-pusher in a paper merchant's office in Slough.

I know it's not real...

Surely he would be tried in a military court for mudering Gareth?

I was under the impression for that grade of offence its Civil first, then Court Martial?

(so conceivably he comes out of 25 years then gets re tried for the same crime?)

I think when it becomes a crown court issue the military dont deal with it and hand over to civil law

Makes one think that maybe the Deepcut barracks "suicides" as they were "depressed" have more to them.
