Listen to what happened to James Naughtie this morning. You need to listen carefull at about 2 minutes to 8.00 am as he was previewing an interview with Jeremy Hunt, the Technology Minister.

No - but Naughtie apologised profusely - after he had recovered.

Did he really have a coughing fit afterwards, or was he trying to stifle a laugh? I think the latter!

I would bet my life on Naughtie and Co. calling the Tory Minister that all the time, when off air - he got so used to this that he forgot he was on-air. He is staunchly pro labour and anti Tory.
Just an uncensored glimpse into BBC's mindset.

It's lucky Charlotte Green wasn't on duty - she'd have giggled so infectiously that the whole studio would have had to go outside!

Wasn't it 'Kurkish Turds' or somesuch that had her in stitches?

The best bit was Andrew Marr repeating it again later... just after promising not to!

Here's a longer version of the original James Naughtie one complete with grovelling apology!

Oh no, she's notorious for giggling on air and has a self-confessed Rabelaisian sense of humour. With that sexy voice and a fit of the giggles, she's so erotic. cloud9
