There I was thinking that they finished the franchise with the last one:

So let me get this straight, the japanese guy, han, died in tokyo drift, but was in the fast and the furious the follow on, and now this??
The last movie was set before the 3rd movie, a prequel to the second sequel if you will.
I wonder if there is another film series that has jumped around so much? Strange though it is set before the 3rd film yet has a GTR in it?

I think when rememebering these films it is easier just to forget that Tokyo Drift actually exists, it's more pleasant that way too as it was, IMO, absolute s
te that was basically the plot from Karate Kid, but with cars.
I think that's what the producers are hoping. (And I'm totally with them)
te that was basically the plot from Karate Kid, but with cars.New trailer looks good, not trying to be clever or different, just lots of action and cars.

If you want to attempt to rationalise it (really?) Tokyo Drift takes place after all of the other films (including any that have yet to be made).
te that was basically the plot from Karate Kid, but with cars.I didn't know this film was going to exist until I spotted an advert for it here on PH.
I have just watched the trailer. Even the lovely Paul Walker is not a good enough reason for me to tolerate the film.
I thought the last one was ok (a little less dumb than the others) and it should have been the last one.
