Not sure if it's been on before but on BBC3 right now is the Pixar 25 Magic Moments programme giving a decent insight into just what goes into making some of the best story telling around...

Just watched it too, geat programme I especially like the room A113 links in each movie, we all know about the subtle hints placed in pixar movies referencing their other stuff.

I must admit I'm looking forward to Cars2 and Monsters Inc 2 (2012 release).

Noticed how some actors have aged quicky ie Tim Allen

Nice tribute to a revolutionary studio. I wonder in 40 years time will they have become as staid as Disney had in the 1980s?

Wait till you see the end of TS3 - Lots of dust in the air in the cinema when I was there apparently

I brought some onions into the cinema when I watched Up as we were having a bolognese later. Needed to get those babies prepped.

I love Pixar films. When a new one comes out, you just know it's going to be excellent entertainment for children while also being interesting for adults to watch.

Mind you, they do seem to have aimed for the onions a bit lately. Both Up and TS3 were very sad in parts. I discovered the other night during the documentary that I still can't watch the Carl and Ellie life timeline segment... I had to leave the room! frown Mind you, the end of TS3 sets me off as well. wink

Outstanding animation, fabulous story concepts and an incredible eye for detail. I think it's great how all their staff get involved too - they don't accept script concepts from outside the company, animators get to voice characters, etc. I hope they can remain as inventive as they've been up to now.

And thank goodness Cars 2 is out this year - a year earlier than planned, apparently. Our son is a huge fan - I took him to see Cars when it came out (he was 3 at the time), and he was glued to the screen from start to finish every time we went to see it (we went several times...). Even now, he'll happily watch it in the car and we watched the BBC showings over Christmas as well. Someone at the Disney Store in Uxbridge told me a couple of years ago that Cars 2 was in production, and I haven't had a moment's peace since. But secretly, I can't wait to see it either. bounce

Both Toy Story 3 and Up. I honestly thought swmbo was a total clean freak, but she obviously didn't dust around my sofa for weeks prior to my watching both of these two films. Lots of dust in my eyes. Took a lot of getting out.

They're a scarily strong studio, and without them Disney would be virtually dead. Around the Orlando Disney parks last year, and whilst it was nice to see some of the older characters, the kids were definitely more interested in the Pixar stuff than anything else.

Apart from my eldest son and one pixar film. 9 years old, and he's decided that Toy Story is evil and totally rubbish.

My daughter loves, absolutely loves, Finding Nemo - I can't get her to watch any other film at the moment, but that's not really a bad thing - She wasn't bothered about Wall E which was a shame....

Great studio - not sure which I prefer though, Pixar films or Wallace and Gromit films....

Late 80s, Magic Cauldron and Basil were ace, sadly Cauldron was too dark for Disney at the time.

I watched this, some things; Billy Crystal and Holly Hunter need to stop with the plastic surgery now. And I never knew Crystal was the squeaky voice from Monsters, I would have bet a fiver it was Nathan Lanebiggrin

Top pixars films? For me it's the Toy Storys, Incredibles, Wall-E and Up. Hope they make a sequel to the Incredibles.
