Anyone else (in the US or owning a PC) who saw Brent on The Office last night. Nice touch I thought (would have been nicer to give Merchant a "blink and miss it" slot as well)

And it seems Will Ferrell is on his way over for a few episodes at least.

Of all the places to see some of this, it was on the Daily Mails site.

Loved it - the bit where they meet when Brent is coming out of the lift?

Thats it - just seen the whole episode and the brent bit was the cold open. Scott's reaction to "thats what she said" was great.

RG was only pre opening credits but last nights episode had a Brentish feel to it. Had hoped to see more of RG but even that small glimpse reminded one how superior the Brit version was. (Apart from Jenna Fischer yum)

Superior is difficult to measure though....Brent was not as likeable as Scott so there's no way he would have lasted as long nor built up the relationship with the audience that Scott has. A good example was the "that what she said..." line - we all know exactly what Scott is thinking and he doesnt even need to say it. We know, and we feel good for him - the sign of a great character.

God knows.....I gave up on Sky for stuff like this a long time ago. I'm no fan of stealing movies I'd otherwise buy but I pay my Sky subs anyway so "obtaining" things like this dont upset my moral code!

I thought he could have at least been doing his daft dance on a karaoke night in the background of a bar scene.

Or being interviewed for Michael Scott's job by someone from head office. smile

Comedy Central had the UK premiere of the last series (season 5) shown over here, although ITV2 have shown the previous series as well.

The UK like their sitcom people to be hugely flawed to the point they are not nice people....the Yanks (seinfeild aside) like their people likeable. Anyone would be happy to have a meal with Michael Scott, Chandler Bing or Frasier. Not many would want a night with Basil Fawlty or Brent.
