Shameless - the canadian version

Watching this on RTE2 at the moment,i thought the info on Sky was a misprint or they were showing an episode earlier that E4 hadn't shown yet.

It's Shameless set in Toronto.

It doesn't work.

Anyone else seen this?

not seen it, but I had heard of a us version with william h macy as frank. that has to be worth a watch

Apparently that's the one i've just watched,got confused when he walked into a bar and they all waved Canadian flags.

It's woeful compared to the original.

I know, it's like the office but with a layer of comedy so micron thin that most people miss it and think it's a documentary about thick people! It's wonderfully subtle at times!
