Find me this movie, Please?

Hi all,

I saw a film in the 90's and would like to watch it again, but can't remember much about it or what it was called, so bare with me on the detail.

It started with a bloke getting injured and being rushed to hospital. Then his life was one big adventure, and I can remember something about him being fascinated with some hot women (even though he was married). Near the end of the movie it turns out that it was all a dream and he was in a coma all of the time. I thought Steve Martin starred in it, however viewing all of Steve Martin's films on the net, there is not one movie that matches.

Any help on this would be appreciated. Sorry for the lack of info, it was along time ago.

Pretty sure(97%) it was a comedy.

Just checked you tube. And can confirm that it's not Jacob's ladder . Scary looking film though
