Anybody watching this? Looks like a jolly good jape, cruising the islands around the Caribbean on the soon to be decommissioned HMS Manchester, searching for drug-runners. Noticed the captains chair/seat on the bridge to be an Aston Martin seat, how cool is that!

I thought it was good, a lot like the Warship series they did last year. I'm not sure I see the point of the Americans having classified names when they are happy to talk to the cameras.

I thought, perhaps, to keep families safe from the drug-barons. Not sure where they would be based but, certainly if anywhere in South America would be prudent to keep their names from being disclosed.

I thought it was interesting, my dad was on Manchester at some point in his navy career.

Not the Carib, but caught up with a mate last night over our respective plans. He was a little suprised to have got a txt off from me on friday during the rugby about watching in in Zurich. Well caught up last night and whilst Ive been sent to the snow, he has been sent to the sand of the gulf doing anti-pirate stuff. Or as he called it "proper Navy work".

Really interesting to watch. Great how they used the Lynx to good effect finding the dumped cargo at the end of the programme, £500K seize.

Very accurately portrayed life on a Type 42. The prog is made by a guy with a great track record of RN ptogrammes. Silly callsign for the Lynx though.

Heads up; starting soon. A trip to Curacao for emergency repairs, then a tip-off on a suspect cargo ship.

Ive actually done this on HMS Eskimo in 1973 through to '75, when they used to tour longer than they do today. I was 18/19 at the time and oooohh what time i had. It was awesome and had the time of my life seeing the Carribean and getting laid paid for it too. It was brilliant hehe

That was the most annoying thing ever, the amount of time and effort that went in to getting on to that ship and taking control then they let them go because the Health & Safety police say you can't search a ship transporting sulphur. furious

Sadly (and typically) focusing on the gay girl (what a surprise-Navy PR will have pushed that), who also happens to be completely thick. Colouring in her keypad!!!!!

Couldn't agree more! Guess what all the drug-runners cargo will be in the future?

Not to mention the punctuation errors on her tattoo.

I noticed that, too much time on PH I think. If they are going to stick a camera in her face it wouldn't hurt for her to brush her teeth occasionally.

This is the last time it can be covered. We will no longer be providing anti drugs patrols due to the defence cuts

Why is 'Wildcat45 a silly callsign?

Did you notice that the several 'i' in the line were all lower case?

I always think that if you cannot be bothered to call yourself a capital 'I' you can't think a lot about yourself, well that is what my English teacher told us.

Sometimes they show some really attractive women on these ships and I just wonder how much shagging there is going on?
