The Adjustment Bureau

Certainly not Bourne meets the Matrix as advertised.
Slow going but strangely captivating, you seem to be waiting for some action to happen that doesn't.
I like Philip K Dick stories and this had some interesting ideas but i came away underwhelmed.
The OH described it as a TV movie, you don't need to see it on the big screen.

I rather enjoyed it, but it's more the kind of thing you'd watch on Sky or via rental from iTunes rather than schlepping off to the cinema. It's more a romantic drama with a supernatural twist than full on Bourne 's
t blowing up' fest, which I hoped it might be. But I've seen far worse films this year!
t blowing up' fest, which I hoped it might be. But I've seen far worse films this year!Dohh. The missus insisted on going to see this on Saturday and despite my protests (and my sharing the PH reviews) she was having none of it.
I'm a pretty laid back/patient kind of chap but found this film pretty dire with the most contrived storyline that I've seen for some time. It was like a cut/paste of about 10 different films, none of which should have been put together.
I think youngsyr has got it spot on. They should have opened the bloody door straight to the friggin credits

Note the spoiler warning above!
Overall I didn't think it was that bad, but the ending let it down majorly.
Despite the somewhat laboured plot devices (hats? water?
), it seemed to be building quite nicely to a dramatic climax, which just fizzled out.
They should have just left the ending to the imagination or come up with something better.
