I think the film is 60s or 70s.

It has a robot that has been created to appear to be human in a crude fashion.
He uses some kind of razer that instead of cutting hair it implants it.
Other snippets that I remember is that they are on a plane going somewhere?

I think that his main power source is of atomic construction and rather then killing everyone he heads to some frozen waste.

Remember it being a good film but thats all I recall.

A hair implanting robot that takes people to a frozen waste?

Were you on acid when you watched this film by any chance?

Are you sure it wasnt Logans Run?

everything fits apart from the hair bit or the nuclear power or the frozen waste

but there is a robot and some ice.

Nope. It was neither Box or REM from the series (which was great BTW smile).

I know it was the 70s and everything was all tie-dyed and hippy but I dont think that was the case.

Great link. Thanks.

I think it could be this:
Roboman (1973, UK/W. Germ.) (aka Who? and The Man With the Steel Mask)
I will have to find a *cough* copy of it .

You know, there were some great robots of the past.
