Ah - looks like 'The Event' is another Flash Forward after all: "The Event (NBC) ... Will ride out its first season, but the chances of renewal are slim to none." Might explain why Ch4 is shoving it after midnight.

Walking Dead seems safe.

I'm really enjoying The Event and can't understand why a lot of other viewers and critics aren't.

I suspect it's because it was heavily hyped before broadcast.

Gutted its not being renewed.

I gave up to be honest, it is the first show i have given up on, it dragged its sorry ass along pretty lamely.
In fairness, i do hear it is getting better but really cba getting back into it, especially as it has been chopped.

To be honest, The Event has been going the way of Flash Forward - dragging simple plot points out for too long.

I blame the US networks' desperate need to make another Lost. (Which I did give up on after Season 1.)
