Council house: cheats and victims

Not a new rant I know, but I'm watching a show now, where people are complaining about the quality of their council houses, and how long they have to wait.
One guy is complaining that the rent is £500 pm, the DSS pay c£350 and he pays the other £150

Now I am young, from a run down northern town and I have managed to WORK earn a decent £50k+ salary and get my own place. So a solution for these guys, work and then rent / buy in the private sector, why would you expect the state to give you a house, and if they did why would you complain if you had to pay £150 towards it?

I laughed when that mother of the family looking for a larger house was moaning they were being overlooked and the properties were going to 'priority applicants'. My first thought was "20 years ago you'd have been the priority applicant and someone else would have been getting overlooked because you couldn't keep your legs shut". Karma.

Not to mention her own sons were waiting for council houses. And they wonder why they're waiting so long? It's because of millions of idiots all thinking the same.

Why do all these long term, unemployed council house tenants all have the same unhealthy look?

Don't have sprogs if you can't afford them

This guy's unbelievable, A copper and a TV presenter (not sure on that one, OH said it) and he has a council flat he pays £90pw and charges £450pw, owns the flat opposite and a gaff in France. fk me.

The programme missed a trick by not mentioning that he'll have been paying the rent using his Police Housing Allowance.

Lots of cheats, but couldn't possibly identify one victim. They are all work shy scumbags. This program wound me up more than usual.
