Let religion discriminate, says Governments equalities boss
Discussion
Trevor Phillips, who heads this nonsense with a £70 million budget, gives us his views that discrimination is all perfectly OK as long as it's within the church or Mosque.
Also seems worried there is another view outside of religion which he also thinks has become "fashionable" to attack and mock religion.

Trevor Phillips is an epic idiot. Perhaps a nice to trip to jurassic Park where he could join the other dynosaurs....
Much of traditional religion is hopelessly outdated in the modern world. Civilised people are doing their best to move away from "tribalism" yet so many religious groups just want to have their own little exclusive rules and regulations.

There is some necessary religious discrimination.
When the Catholic church considers applications to be priests it tends to discriminate in favour of those who are:
a) Catholic
b) Experiencing a vocation to that role.
Persecuting a group, minority or otherwise is clearly outside that. Trevor Phillips for instance mentions homosexuals in connection with some interpretations of Christianity.
Cue the imaginary friend/paedophile etc. lines of abuse!
