Shot that nearly killed me - amazing stories.

Some incredible pictures, bettered only by the narrative that accompanies them.
Not for the faint hearted.

I'm ashamed to say I'm tickled by the fact that the summary next to the second picture focuses on the severed hand and completely ignores the severed cock and balls.
The subject matter is horrific and the beauty of the photography seems to make that worse. Man's capacity for inhumanity should not surprise me, but it does. As for the guy who took those pictures while they were dragging him out of the minefield; there are no words for that.

Wow, hard-hitting stuff.
I have to say out of all of them, the Serbian shots bother me the most. There is something about that conflict that makes my skin quiver.
Because each scene could be in any European city and the protagonists swapped for any Brit?I have to say out of all of them, the Serbian shots bother me the most. There is something about that conflict that makes my skin quiver.
They look like us.
