Love how they they spoke of "Asian" men rather than exactly who everyone knows is the main culprit of this - Pakistani/Muslim men.
As a Sikh I'm not impressed. Did they not have the bottle to say what the truth is??! Disappointing.
No they don't. They don't wanna get sued or labelled as racist so it's easier to tar you all with the same brush...Love how they they spoke of "Asian" men rather than exactly who everyone knows is the main culprit of this - Pakistani/Muslim men.

I heard this too.. but I have a question, why do you (as a Sikh) think its just Pakistani/Mulslim men and not other 'Asian's'. Love how they they spoke of "Asian" men rather than exactly who everyone knows is the main culprit of this - Pakistani/Muslim men.

k off massive continent. There are 53 races in China alone, and loads more across asia. But of course the Meeja can't use the "P" word in any context, especially as it rarely seems to be the "I" word doing any of this for some strange reason... Dav_s said:

If enough people formally complained to the BBC this would confuse them and cause all sorts of dilemmas in the Department of Right On. Love how they they spoke of "Asian" men rather than exactly who everyone knows is the main culprit of this - Pakistani/Muslim men.

I do suggest you do society a favour and lodge the complaint and get others to do so.

Absolutley.
k off massive continent. I'd be sufficiently offended if referred to as "European". Quite how the whole of Asia is somehow bundled into these idiotic 'news' reports together is beyond me. FFS, let's call it like it is.

Unless you wear a turban, would the general population be able to differentiate one 'asian' from another? Unfortunately it's one of the media stereotypes thats out there, and you won't find many that are willing to change it.Love how they they spoke of "Asian" men rather than exactly who everyone knows is the main culprit of this - Pakistani/Muslim men.

As a Pakistani male I find these acts truly disgusting, and I can't believe these kinds of gangs exist - from what tonker suggests, it seems like Pakistani's are over represented in these kind of crimes, and that truly is sad. Put it in context though, i've never met any Pakistani's who've done these crimes or have exhibited their intention to do so - maybe they have and I just live a sheltered life, but the point i'm trying to make is that these lowlifes must keep this all hidden from their friends and family, and only share this information with other lowlifes.

Of course you will be offended. After all you are the shining light of the asian world aren't you?Love how they they spoke of "Asian" men rather than exactly who everyone knows is the main culprit of this - Pakistani/Muslim men.

Since we want to break down the asian in them, yes they are most likely to have Pakistani parents and happen to be born Muslims and most likely be driving a Germanic car of some sort too. I've said it before who it is but i was labbelled a bigot/need to learn tollerance, etc...

I love how you associate a person's religion almost entirely with their identity.Since we want to break down the asian in them, yes they are most likely to have Pakistani parents and happen to be born Muslims and most likely be driving a Germanic car of some sort too. Fruitloop.
Personally i think it would be better if the media did not use the asian label as it is easy to brush it aside, ultimately these guys are from the British Pakistani (albeit Mirpuri) community and should be exposed for what they are, Brit-Paks and especially who they are and what road they lived on.

I think that's an extremely misleading point as two of those factors are very highly correlated. Most Pakistanis will be Muslim (correct me if i'm wrong?) and most 'groomers' (of any ethnicity) will have a mid-range executive car in order to tout their misdeeds .. you're not really going to pull birds in a Vauxhall Insignia. Do Bangladeshis feature in the statistics? So let's just get to the point.Sheeda Pistol said:

Since Pakistan is larger than the UK and, given that a Geordie would see themselves (and is in fact) significantly different in culture and upbringing to a Londoner, I;d say that's more than sensible.Sheeda Pistol said:

There are laws against that for good reason. Although it still doesn't stop the mouth-breathers from waging the occasional misplaced hate campaign against paediatricians.Gassing Station | News, Politics & Economics | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
