Our wacky weather: After the hottest spring in 118 years, forecasters predict the coolest summer in two decades
Two mini-heat waves have seen Britain bask in record temperatures.
But Summer, it seems, has been and gone - and it's only July.
Despondent forecasters are predicting a soggy summer that could also be the coldest for 18 years.
And the cool temperatures could spell boredom to hundreds of thousands of school children after a wet start to the Summer holidays was predicted.

And yet, not two months ago...

Homeowners' water bills to DOUBLE in summer amid drought fears... as Britain faces hottest spring for a century.
It has also been revealed that water companies are considering imposing hosepipe bans later in the summer with England and Wales recording the lowest rainfall since 1938.
The plans - backed by the Environment Agency -are in response to one of the driest springs since records began.
There are also worries over the long-term impact climate change will have on Britain as summers get hotter and drier.
And despite the prospect of showers over the next few days, forecasters say there is still no sign of the heavy rain needed to ease near-drought conditions in the South and East of England.

Given the Met Office's atrocious long range (i.e. seasonal) weather forecasts, I'll take this as a sign to pack the BBQ away until next year then.
What Long Range Forecast have the Met Office made then?I only see the Mail citing Metro citing Positive Weather Solutions.

I can't remember the last decent summer we had, we seem to have a week of hot weather in June followed by wet weather for the rest, wish this global warming was real so we'd get decent weather
Any predictions on the winter yet? Will it be the 'warmest on record'?
1995 was a fantastic Summer, everything since then has got sligthly worse year on year.

Maybe I can finally get my BBQ out of the shed, where it's been since 2004?
Or should I leave it there?
I bought a portable air conditioner thingy in 2004 since it was quite warm and was told by the Media "it's only going to get worse!"...Or should I leave it there?
It's been used three times since then.
