From Gauniad
The home ministry said it's a terrorist attack and has rushed three teams from the newly-created National Intelligence Agency to Mumbai, including forensic experts.
Most people were injured at Zaveri Bazaar, where Mumbai's bullion traders and jewellery shops are located, and at Opera House, where diamond exporters have their offices and workshops.
Zaveri Bazaar is close to the city police headquarters, and has been bombed by terrorists twice in the past - in 1993 and in 2002. This time the improvised explosive device was placed inside an electrical meter box.
The third blast was near Dadar Railway Station in central Mumbai at a road intersection known as Kabutar Khana (Pigeon House), where devout Hindus come to feed the city's pigeons.
Manohar Joshi, former parliament speaker and a leader of the militant Mumbai Shiv Sena party said: "The message from this is not good."

This has just reminded me of something.
On the anniversary of the attack on Mumbai (the original one obviously) Radio 4 ran a mini documentary about it on the Today program. It was about 12 minutes long. They spoke about the 'Gunmen' rampaging through the city. They spoke with a Rabbi from the local Jewish centre, spoke to people who had been in the hotels, people in the street, recalled the awful scenes, the laughing faces of the murderers and death toll.
At no point did they mention the words Terrorist, Islam, Muslim, Jihad or give any explanation whatsoever for the attack. You would have had no idea at all of the reason, motive or perpetrators if this had been the first you'd heard of it.
They were just 'Gunman' who had 'arrived'.
They repeated this at least three times during the course of the program and never explained it in between.
Why refer to the 'Jewish Centre' and 'Rabbi' if they were just trying to be sensitive?

We were lucky not to see a military escalation between India and Pakistan post Mumbai hotel attacks. We have the Americans to thank for that one.
If, and obviously it is still an if given the event has just happened, any Pakistani (ISI or Army) link is found to these attacks I wonder if the Americans can do the same again given USA-Pak ties are not at their greatest right now.
U.S. aid cut to Pakistan could hurt economy
The government in New Delhi is also a tired and fatigued one. They can't keep on telling their citizens 'keep on showing your spirit, we are above this' after every attack. The people WILL demand some action soon.
May the dead RIP and lets hope the death toll remains low.
