tool/weapon in the car, good or bad idea?

I have never carried a weapon in my life and don't really want to, given the way our country is victim's all too easily become the perps.

But I need to drive around London to night. People getting dragged out of cars. I'm very tempted to have a big spanner, just in case I get a flat.

Don't bother. The crowd'll just take it off you and beat you to death with it

Otherwise lock the doors and keep your foot down.

Get a can of ralgex or deep heat. A face full of that and they are good for nothing. Police not too bothered as to why you have it in the car either

It's reactions like this that cause situations to worsen. The number of attacks on the general public has been minimal (to almost non-existent) so far. Just go about your business, keep an ear on the radio and keep your wits about you. Only on PH would your wannabe-vigilante behaviour ever be applauded.

Oh come on, I'm not saying I think this is great. Its shocking but my parents live by a massive estate which is about to kick off and I'm going around there in a bit. I'd rather not have to deal with it at all

They are in their late 60's and getting a bit fragile, I'm concenred for their safety and mine. I'm hardly being a vigilante

If you carry a weapon in the car and get pulled over make sure you have another reason you having it there. For example if you have a set of golf clubs, you play golf and would never think of using your 5 iron to cave in the skull of some scum bag who wants to set you on fire.

I've just emptied my martial arts centre (central Brum) of a car full of weapons. Didn't want the place broken into and help arm the scum!

Just driven home with about 10 swords, 20 proper nunchaku etc etc etc in.

I'm the armourer if the scrotes try to break into my apartment building. We're ready

Prob worth watching the soldiers that drove into the IRA funeral - had guns and still killed. I dont think a maglight will hold off a gang.

I don't carry an actual weapon, but I do have a 'baseball bat' steering wheel crook lock like the one in the picture. Legal to carry in the car and could be used as a weapon if needed. It was only a fiver too from pound stretcher.
