I could not locate the old Syrian thread, so apologies.

I see that the U.S., U.K., and Saudi Arabia have joined in those calling for Assad to simmer down and "stop killing those protesting in support of Democracy". I thought it a bit ironic that Saudi was in that chorus.

Nonetheless, there are leaked videos of soldiers mowing down unarmed protestors, etc. Video showed a mosque being destroyed as protestors took refuge within. Syrian ally Iran is building a base of sorts there as well, I wonder how that plays into things? Even some of those normally friendly with Syria, such as Turkey are getting loud.

I'd like to think that a major SFI is coming up for Assad and his merrily murderous crew, but I fear that they'll successfully squash this one.

I'm sure that Assad won't be kept up at night by the idea that other countries have called for him to chill a bit.

Turkey will sort it. Are they not already moving troops to border areas "just in case"?

Might be another excuse for the Turkish army to go kill some Kurds though.
