Now I'm not a big fan of animal cruelty, but what really has me stumped is why I'm paying for his drug habit.

You want to solve some of the problems of society Dave?

You can start here on so many, many levels.

Ditto. it boggles the mind that we're paying £250 a month for him to chill.

It beats spending £1000+ a week keeping him in gaol.

£800pcm benefits!? How? I am officially fed up of hearing about feckless wasters getting money for nothing and then doing stupid things. So this guy gets money for nothing and then hands a chunk over to a dealer who won't pay tax which means his money doesn't even go back to the economy. FFS. Agh. fk. .

Minimum wage for 40 hours is £237 gross.

I think he might encounter some motivation problems.

Is this dealer a hermit living in a cave using only wood for heating and growing his own food? Otherwise he's paying tax every time he buys something; petrol for his pimpmobile, hoodies for his runners(corporate image is important, see), zipbags for his product and some KFC for dinner.

Sounds like a case for whom it would be beneficial to restore the link between working and eating.

What is a cannabis habit? It's not smack, just stop smoking it....

Do we still give alcoholics/addicts more benefits? (Sick pay or whatever it's now called)

Jail isn't the only option. He shouldn't be on cash benefits. Simples.

The silly thing is, you lot actually believe that he's handed £200 a week.

He's not.

Clue, it's the daily mail style reporting, I'll bet the majority of his £800 per month is housing benefit.

That's OK then, it isn't as if the rest of us have housing costs to pay out of income.

Cheaper option - eye for an eye. Throw him off a building. if he survives, he can walk off a free man.

If not, we keep street cleaners employed. Win/Win situation?

This removing benefits for convicted criminals seems to be a recurring theme recently. I don't think the left would ever allow benefits to stop entirely, but I do like the idea of reducing it based on the severity of the crime, say what 30%? I'd like to see the little st have to choose between fags and food.
