Riots - Is this what they mean by lack of support?

Here are a selection of buildings that the rioters thankfully didn't burn down in some of the most 'deprived' areas, is it this kind of deprivation that made them react? The riots were nothing to do with deprivation. They were entirely to do with lack of respect for the community and greed.

The chavs in Manchester smashed a load of windows of the old UMIST Main Building. Seddon, who were undertaking repairs to the block paving lifted a load of blocks on the Tuesday and left them in a handy ammunition pile by the main entrance.

One of the scummers even sacrificed a full bottle of wine to throw through a second floor window, which lodged itself, intact, between the broken pane and the secondary glazing.
