BBC News - Takeaways are bad for you
Discussion
Since there was a difference written into food standards legislature which drew a fairly clear cut line between "nasty food make tubby fatter", and "food entering the supply chain with additive levels significantly in excess of the legal limit". That is, assuming you're referring to this article http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/health-14768096
Just because it's not good for you, doesn't make it exempt from food standards, else why bother sending the EA around to make sure there's no rat s
t in their kitchen either?

That article's a bit better than the TV news report - stuff like "when nut-free chicken tikkas were ordered, 20% still contained nuts." etc wasn't reported.Just because it's not good for you, doesn't make it exempt from food standards, else why bother sending the EA around to make sure there's no rat s

Still, doubt it's headline news.

£145.50?I mean, seriously, what the f
k? Since when was this news?Is this the standard of debate on PH now. Every time someone hears or sees an article they don't like on BBC news they start ranting about their licence fee?
"Dear BBC
Last night, there were three items on your 10 O'Clock news bulletin that I didn't agree with. This was the sixth time this has happened this week and I am absolutely incensed. I am therefore requesting a refund of my licence fee until such time as you only run reports which have been checked with me first in order to ensure that they are in line with ny viewpoints on life, the universe and everything".
Yours sincerely
Mr Angry
