The red ties will implement it as soon as they are voted in, the blue ties won't get rid of it again.

You need a European presence to cover the US and APAC timezones. I can't think of a country in Europe that already has a large banking presence that is not in the EU that would take advantage of this....

Awaiting the 'cast iron' guarantee that this won't be implemented or even implemented in a diluted form.

Milliband? Really? you really think the man who, on the Today programme this morning, said (and I quote) that we should have

"Worker's Compensation Committees"

to determine CEO salaries is actually going to get in? He's less electable than Michael Foot.

This will be a real test of Cameron's true ideology.

Maybe not him, but Labour will get elected again at some point and they will bring in this tax (and the conservatives will keep it). The joys of a two party system.

They won't get in next time at least; and after that I'd imagine our relationship with the EU will be somewhat different to now.

The EU will still be around, and our politicians will still be desperate to retire to that gravy train. The only way we'll get the mutual hatred that some PHers dream about is if Germany invades Poland again.

I don't doubt it'll still be around, I'm wondering whether we'll still be part of it. Norway does quite well in the EFTA without all of the EU nonsense.

This is such a load of crap. There are only ever two per decade who get Commission jobs. Ashton isn't a retired politician, but a nonentity that Brown put up to nix Blair.

This absolutely will not happen in my opinion, for literally countless reasons, not least because even Winky could see how much tax The City made for him. Even Labour, for all their huff and puff, are not that stupid.

Anyhow, it is perfectly clear our relationship with the EU, as a non EZ member, will likely have changed, blown along by events (dear boy).

I'm not talking about commissioners, even ordinary MEPs get the same (or better) expenses and much less scrutiny from back home. Its like retirement for front-benchers who don't 'fit' with the image the party wants to portray any more.

If Labour cant lose an election after 13 years of ass fking the nation, pissing away all the money and the gold, starting illegal wars, the PM being questioned by police regarding cash for honours, plummeting education and law and order, massive increases in taxation, unchecked immigration and 100 other major clusterfks, your a naive man to honestly believe that they won't walk into No;10 with a monumental majority come the next GE.

Hell, Labour could have a front bench comprising of Gordon Brown, Pol Pot, Saddam Hussain, Idi Amin, Kim Song Il, Stalin, Mao, Vlad the Impaler, Hitler, Harriet 'I like pay per view porn' Harmen, Ian Huntly, Mira Hindley, Roul Moat and Sutty and Sweep, and they'd still piss the next GE by a country mile.

75% of the population are mongs and spasticated. Everything is Maggies fault and all Tories are scum. Ed Milliband could go round gauging out the eyes of our every increasing scutter classes first born before skull fking them, and just so long as they continued to get a nice chunk of benefits every fortnight, the retards would still vote for him.

Labour is THE party for the working man, (even though a decent portion of their core voters have likely never done a hard days graft in their pityfull, empty, worthless lives). Tories are nasty bds who want to take away all our nice benefits which we are fully entitled to, and give them to all those thieving bankers.
