Labour worried that their core supporters might be too lazy to bother registering to vote. My heart bleeds.

"As she wound up the Labour Party conference in Liverpool later, Ms Harman said the week had been a "turning point" for the party, which she said had been "refounded" as "the force that changes people's lives"."

Oh don't worry, the last 13 years have changed peoples lives for some time yet. tt.

I can't see any reason for the change, but as Labour have been gerrymandering for years - I call it fair.

Good. If you want to vote, you should make the effort. If you don't want to make the effort then it's likely your vote was a st uninformed one anyway.

I'm not sure her insunuation that "Black" voters, per se, should struggle with such changes to legislation has been run past a brain cell, prior to her blurting it out, let alone a Political Correctness panel.

An idiot, who now admits she helps lead a party for idiots.

Did she basically say that poor people, black people and students are lazy? It seems like she did. I'm pretty sure she did.

Or perhaps, she was trying to say that her voters can't read or write

Either way, it's incest....

What racial equality group do we report this to? Considering that the UK is a beacon of racial equality and that we welcome all outsiders with open arms, free houses and a £20k a year benefits program, I feel that her anti-black comments are taking us back to attitude of slavery, holocauust and MMGW denial.

Ooops - Labour proposed this back in 2009! http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/politics/4930292/I...

Was in their 2010 manifesto too

Yes, the gist of her argument is that the Tories want to do it a year earlier and save £74m. Ludicrous woman.

It's a problem because "community leaders" will no longer be able to get heads of households to fill in block returns. Apparently there are some such groups in some inner-city Labour seats.
