That actually made me feel sick.
What is wrong with people like this? Surely they must be f
ked in the head to:
A. have done such a thing
B. to think that saying another cat put the kitten in there is going to get them off with it!
Disgusting excuse for a human being.

Funny thing is, I didn't need to click the link or read the entire post, I knew it would be about the cat.
Odd thing is I have mixed feelings about the death penalty, but I often find myself reading things like that and thinking "f
k it, just take them out the back and shoot them and save us all the money".

Even though there are worse crimes, certain people prompt me to think, What good are they? At the very least they should be sterilised so they don't further infect the human race with their defective genes.carmonk said:

And like a previous poster said its not really surprising that they are on a council estate.
Is it a bit hard line to think that there needs to be some kind of "audit" in the UK? Where we can just get rid of these types of people who contribute nothing to society.
It genuinely makes me sick to the stomach.
I genuinely think this woman should just be killed.
I was going to say something about making her suffer etc etc. But I honestly cant be bothered, I feel sadness and utter shock at thinking what the poor cat went through and other than that nothing - just remove people like this from the gene pool, they are not going to do society any good. Think about the morals (or lack there of) she would teach others with her general day to day actions ?, what is the point of even locking people like this up and keeping them alive ?.
I believe we should start valuing criminals by their net worth to society. The ones that are clearly bad, but manage to keep themselves in check could be useful in terms of menial labour - ones like this that cant toe any sort of line, .... pass the bolt gun <THUD> next !.
I wish i hadnt read that article.

Well there has been a massive change in the last few decades then, as I was brought up in an East London council estate in the '70s as were a lot of people at the time, in fact very few parents of the the people I went to school with owned their own homes and relied on council housing. Then as now, the thought of doing something this horrible to a defenceless animal would have been unthinkable. vixen1700 said:

I understand your point. But how many news stories do you hear of this kind of thing where the perpetrator is "middle/upper class"? The vast majority seem to be from the less well off areas of the UK. I am not wanting to tar everyone who lives in a council estate with the same brush, but it still does not come as much of a surprise. There is a whole other thread about the demise of council housing since the "glory days" of the 1950s etc. I could start one if you like? There have been quite a few books written on the subject, and (I think) a BBC program about the history of council estates was shown fairly recently*.
So yes things have changed in the last few decades, and unfortunately not for the better in many places

Edited to add: * my time scale is f
ked up, so it could have been about a year ago this program was shown...Edited by Alfachick on Thursday 24th November 14:22

I totally agree with you, something is rotten and it's happened over a few decades. It just sickens me people can act this way and usually blame it on their upbringing/circumstances/surroundings.
