Walking past most mornings, there has been scaffolding up for ages and I thought the whole thing was shut for the winter, while they did a little work... would appear not from that story.
Hopefully the two chaps taken off to hospital are recovering, just as well it didn't fall off when there were a load of people on it(!)

As I crossed London Bridge on my way to catch a train this evening there appeared to be a crane down by HMS Belfast, presumably retrieving the gangway out the river.
Further research shows that it was GPS Atlas and that she came through Tower Bridge at 10am and was due to go back at &pm. When I saw her the boom arm was still raised so dont know if she made it back down on time.
