A disqualified coach driver who obtained a licence twice with fake names drove children to school while nearly three times over the legal drink-drive limit.

S* M*’s driving was described as “erratic” and he kept asking for directions as he drove Sandwell Academy pupils to school in July.

The 42-year-old from W* had been disqualified from driving for five years. He changed his name by deed poll to apply for a new licence, lost that, and applied for a third licence under another false name.

Disgraceful.

I have amended the name and location to avoid any 'issues'.

Thanks for that - I wasn't sure of the rules relating to links reporting criminal cases.

I'm almost too scared to ask, but why had you let the lion try your jimjams on?

How on earth did he manage to end up with 3 licences?

Something seriously wrong of government systems can't connect previous names together when they have been changed by deed.

Not read all this but it you don't have to do it by deed poll.

A simple stat dec saying the right things will do.

It is so easy to commit a fraud like this with a very little knowledge of how the system works and what papers people are expecting to see and how they should look.

If that's the case how come there is no benefit fraud?

Oh, wait...

Seriously, this must be easy to fix. They have all the information they need (he did change his name by deed).

Utterly disgraceful.

The article says he 'kept asking for directions'. What kind of man can stoop so low?

It is. Bio Metrics.

Anything that a person can easily change is useless as Identity.

It really isn't that hard, although I'm not going to make it any easier by setting out how, to create havoc with a little knowledge, a PC, a few original documents and some chutzpah.

Had a feeling it would be a name of that origin before opening up the article.
