Bercow's portrait and coat of arms - just £37k.

Bargain...

I thought the coat of arms design was a joke - but no, it is really like that!

Couldn't that have been knocked up by a GCSE art student in an afternoon?!

As for the paraphernalia on the coat of arms: rofl

Brian Sewel was airing his viewpoint concerning the artistic merit of the portrait. His expert opinion being that the 'work' was indicative of a young upcoming artist developing his skills.laugh

"All are equal" Surely there is some serious tongue-in-cheek irony there? hehe

Does the ladder signify the social climbing exploits of his attention deficit disorder wife and the blades and dismembered balls represent what should happen to him for failing to keep her in check and this latest folly?

The portrait is very good - to be fair.

And no problem if traditionally the speaker has a commissioned portrait.

But he should pay for his own coat of 'snakes and ladders'.

Looks like someones broken his pinky finger.

Sheesh, if I was getting a portrait done for £22k I would at least want them to put me in the Iron Man suit - or add dinosaurs?

But really - that painting doesn't look much different to what most cameras and free software can do to a photo with an auto filter to 'painting'.
