Have you been watching Frozen Planet? Some great footage, but next week is the final episode and having watched some clips on BBC news I won't be able to stomach watching it. David Attenborough has turned it into a man made global warming propaganda show, what a shame.

I notice the BBC have been very active of late peddling MMGW theory at every opportunity. They gave it a rest for a while and became watchable, but now they're full on with it again. Time for more complaints I think.

In the final episode of the popular series, which will be broadcast on BBC One on December 7th, Sir David claims that the Arctic could be ice free in summer by 2020 and polar bears are already dying due to a lack of ice.
Already the programme has caused controversy after it was revealed that the BBC is offering broadcasters in countries like the US, where there is more scepticism about global warming, the option of buying the series without the ‘climate change episode’ at the end.
Writing in the Radio Times, Lord Lawson points out that certain populations of polar bears are rising and that sea ice cover is in fact increasing in Antarctica.
“Sir David Attenborough is one of our finest journalists and a great expert on animal life. Unfortunately, however, when it comes to global warming he seems to prefer sensation to objectivity,” he said.
However Cambridge University scientists questioned whether Lord Lawson understands or is even aware of the wider context of the latest peer-reviewed research on global warming.

Lord Lawson has been a major skeptic of MMGW for years, the mans had his publishers refuse to publish books about it and he had the guts to go on Martin Durkin's Channel 4 show about it a few years ago, most other people who did appear then claimed they were 'tricked into doing it' when they suddenly found out their grants would dry up.

The latest batch of emails to be liberated show the BBC has been using a lot of time and resources to push their AGW agenda, without wanting to repeat what has been posted on the various climate\climategate threads if you are going to write to your MP on the subject then you may want to get some more ammo by viewing these two threads,

I wonder how many millions the BBC received to do this?

They don't need money to do that, it's about protecting their pensions..............

Funnily enough I was expecting it to be a Global Warming fest but in fairness it has been an excellent series with just a few mentions of changing climate.

The truth is that the climate does change over the centuries, that's all a very small part of the series showed.

I've never seen a wildlife or nature program from another broadcaster that even comes close to one of the BBC programs, I'm really not sure why people have such a love of bashing what they produce.

I agree with you, but I think the point is that why should we be subjected to propaganda from the BBC, when the sell the program to other countries without it.

Except for the fact that this enviro-message has been present in wildlife programs for as long as I can remember.

Does this make you question what you've been watching?

Would you let Fred and Rose West babysit your kids? I am sure they didn't kill every child they came into contact with.

I've not watched it but I've been listening to both sides, from what I have heard they are stating that the climate is changing, for which they have evidence such as glacial changes etc.

MMGW is a stretch but irrespective of this chucking additional Co2 into the atmosphere without questioning or considering its consequences is stupid.

While I personally treat Global warming with some degree of caution, I think any view that Sir David presents is worth listening to. He has also raised some very valid points in the past about overpopulation. He is a man with great experience and wisdom and people would do well to take note of his comments.
Calling his comments sensationalist is very poor form, because I think if anyone has a right to make noise about natural conservation, it is him.

I think that's the reaction the BBC wishes people to have - if the latest climategate email leaks are to be believed - all for the 'cause'.

This made me sick. I had enjoyed it all and was just thinking how unusually un-political the series had been, then because the final episode is out, wham - their ploy is exposed with the message 'Enjoy that did you - well it's all doomed unless we act now'. Gut wrenching, ruined the whole series and has discredited the man in my eyes.

He even started by saying destructive man-made warming was incontrovertibly proven. Brainwashed.

Remember David Bellamy, doesn't get a lot of TV work now does he! I wonder why.

To be even more fair, he has mentioned it in ALL of the programs.
That apart it has been a magnificent piece of television.

I don't understand how you could call this series 'news'.
