We're in Christchurch visiting my sister. Supposed to be flying to San Francisco but our connecting flight has been cancelled. We were in her house during the quake and out in the airport car park for the aftershock. You could see the control tower physically shaking and moving! It freaks you out a bit. Certainly nothing like it back home in the UK.

Thanks! Yeah we got off quite lightly with this one, still have power, nothing broken , 20min of picking things up all sorted.

Poor people on the east seaside suburbs though looks a right mess.

My sister used to live over in Sumner. Over in Riccarton now. Real wierd experience feeling the ground moving!
