A judge has banned an autistic woman with an IQ of 64 from having sexual intercourse on the grounds she does not fully understand she could say no to such actions.
Mr Justice Hedley said the 29-year-old lacks the mental capacity to consent to having sex, and made the order to protect her best interests.

Yes, the government does everything else so well I really wish they would decide who could and could not breed.
I can see the point, but I can also see someone ending up on rape charges for no good reason. I grew up near Newcastle and if I had specified an IQ of above 64 I would have been a virgin until the age of 25.

Did anyone see the program on social workers the other night? This was the episode about a boy, who I think was called Toby, and his parents who could be called 'a bit slow'. His parents did not have the common sense that is required to raise a child. king dhead who was wired wrongly, capable of calling a solicitor on his mobile phone to check his rights but incapable of sending his lad to nursery cleaned and fed properly. On one hand I feel pity for the children borne of such parents and think they shouldn't be allowed to bring children into their world but then worry about where the line would be drawn when deciding who should be denied the right to have children - criminals, addicts, sufferers of mental illness not related to IQ, the unemployed..............

A piece that I have just read in my current book goes along the lines of that we of the late 20th and early 21st century are human flotsam. We sent our brightest, bravest and strongest off to various wars throughout the 1900s and left only the weakest, people of low intelligence and criminals behind to breed and create the broken society that we have today.

Thinking about it, yes a lot of low intelligence people would have been sent off to fight in the trenches along with the brightest but the people left behind would certainly have been the weakest, most cowardly or workshy or being of ill health mentally and physically.
OK some of the cleverest would have got out of it or would have been of high rank in the military thus would have been away from danger.
