Never really understood the term.

The non-white population of the world outnumber the white population many times over.

Is the term supposed to describe a specific country? For example, the white race populates over 80% of the UK, therefore. anyone non white is a minority.

Genuinely curious.

Yes. when a group of similar ethnicity is in a minority, it's an ethnic minority.

Well that's cleared that up. Could probably have searched the net but sometimes its good to talk.

But 'Black' in BME is a singled out word making it more of a 'minority' than the 'ME' part which lumps every other ethnicity in to that group.

In reality it should just be 'ME' minority ethnics' otherwise its means one is more equal than the others.

My BME is about 25 but i'm not fat as apparently it doesnt take muscle weight into account.
