The New York Times has an article today about the Savile / BBC scandal! It's astonishing what dimensions this thing is starting to take on. It was in the media here in Germany last week too, but that at least is still in Europe.
That they're picking up on it in the States is pretty amazing: a lot of yanks aren't even sure where "Yurrup" is, let alone who Jimmy Savile was.
A quote from the article that made me smile: "Ben Bradshaw, a former BBC reporter who is a panel member, offered a withering rebuke to Mr. Entwistle. “You have to get a grip,” he said."
The beeb shoud've got a grip 40 years ago...

Is the Savile/BBC scandal the same one as the Savile/NHS, prison service and children's homes scandal?

Way too subtle Derek, this is a not to be missed opportunity to go BBC bashing, don't spoil it for everyone.

It's been covered in the US for nearly a month, same as it has here. What's the big deal?

I think you'll find the word is Twittering or suchlike winkbiggrin

But yes, he's just (t)wittering for the sake of it, like most tweets/twits are.

BBC lost TWO bosses in 2003 over the sexed up Iraq dossier.

They survived that.

Hardly surprising it has appeared in the New York Times. Their new CEO who joins next month is the former BBC Director General.

He's twitterng because the BBC showed a documentary a few days ago that showed everybody what a huge he is.
I am still struggling to understand how somebody could be such a , thats how much of a he is.

and he has the sttest hair I have ever seen.
